DME HS Regional Defeat Christ Church In Early Lead

High School Regional won against Christ Church High School Tuesday night at Warner Christian.
Regional controlled the whole game from start to finish, finishing 68-53.

In the first quarter, Shem Gordon and Rafael Martini gave a spark, scoring the first 8 points of the game. Regional ended the first quarter 13-8.

Start of the second quarter, Regional went on a 15-5 run during the first 4 minutes, with Matt McGinnis scoring two big three-pointers, as well as Lionel Vankrunkkelvedlt hitting a big three, who finished with a season-high of nine points. Finishing up the first half, Regional extended the lead to 24 points 40-16.

Second half, Martini struggled with foul trouble, picking up his 3rd foul in the beginning of the half. Martini, finished with a double-double, 16 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists, and 7 steals.

Within three minutes of the fourth quarter, Christ Church went on a 10-5 run cutting the lead down to ten points, 55-45. After missing two games with an injured shoulder, Gordon produced 15 points and 8 rebounds.
